Thanks for putting the submodule update into its own commit, that was going to be one of my review comments.

My last thing would be that I'd like to add the short commit hash on the submodule to the commit message, because it's really hard to find when reviewing or looking at the commit history. I can git clone and see it by doing git submodule status, but it's easier if it's right in the message IMO.
